Life Story

And you thought you knew me . . . guess again.

Well, I'm not really sure what exactly people think about me. I'm a quiet person, usually. I love spending time with my friends or just hanging out reading in my room. I'm really big on family and try to spend as much time as I can with mine. Of course this isn't the easiest thing to do because I'm here at school and they're all 2 hours away from me. But I do talk to my mom everyday! I'm a little shy but you wouldn't know it if you met me. I've learned how to be a little more outgoing and assertive. You never get what you want if you aren't willing to try! Also, I'm one girl who doesn't think shes fat! In fact, I could actually stand to gain some weight! And not to sound cocky, but everyone loves me! LOL, its true! Okay, well maybe not everyone but pretty damn close! If ya know me well enough chances are you love me! I'm just one of those girls that you cant help falling for!

I was born at Mercy Hosipital at 1:47am on my grandmother Alice Pettit's birthday. I have one older brother named Aaron and three younger brothers named Jonathan, Nathaniel, and Caleb. I also have a little sister named Olivia. My parents got divorced Feb. 2005. I grew up in Des Moines, the capital of Iowa. I now live out in a small town in NW Iowa with my mom and Caleb and Olivia. My dad and other brothers live in Altoona. I have a pet fish here in my dorm. His name is Ocean and he's a beta. And he's very boring. I really really want a puppy but I cant have one here in my dorm and mom refuses to keep one for me. Eventually I'll live somewhere where I can have a puppy and then I'll be happy! I drive a 1995 Mazda 626, her name is Sam and shes green. She's a 5 speed, which I love! I'm hoping to have her for a long long time.

The Dating Game

Okay well I am single again, and I'm enjoying every minute of it! Dating is a little overrated and right now I'm not into having that extra stress in my life. Plus mom seems to think I need time to figure out who I am without a guy. One of these days I'll meet the right guy and it will work out and there wont be any serious issues and I'll be perfectly happy. Until then, I'm gonna enjoy being a cute single girl! ~wink~

So I'm currently an english major at the University of Northern Iowa. After I get my bachelors I'm gonna go to graduate school and get my masters, hopefully go out of state for that. I really want to study abroad before I graduate, go to Ireland or somewhere in Europe. After I finish school I'm not sure where I'm gonna go. I have plenty of time to figure all of that out and I will eventually. For now I'm just gonna focus on school and enjoying life!

So I've finally gotten sick of short hair. I'm growing it back out now, but not extremely long like it used to be when I was 15. Just past my shoulders will work for me. Everyone tells me they like it now, but I don't and so I'm just gonna let it grow until it makes me happy. But hey, feel free to keep complimented me! LOL It's always nice to hear that I look good. Sometimes I just don't hear it as much as I would like to. Thats what happens when you're single! Actually, I didn't hear it so much when I dating my last boyfriend either.

My mom and I are very close

I feel very lucky to have a mother like mine. She is creative, smart, and fun. She has always been there for me and always had some wisdom to share. At times I can get angry with her and wish she would just be normal. But the truth is, my mom is crazy, eccentric, and I love her for it. She is my hero. I have always looked to her for guidance. Sometimes she has trouble dealing with the problems life throws at her. And sometimes strength is a quality she is tired of having. But she has always made it through those difficult times and always will. I love my mother more than anyone.
